Many people ask me who am I, who do I identify with, why do I think as I do, and most definitely what propels me to do the things that I do.
My answer is simple….I must live my most authentic life, and always be in the truest essence of myself. I do not surround myself with people, places, and things that do not resonate well with me. I do not apologize for my views, because I own them in every shape and form. I take ownership and responsibility for where my life is, and where it is not! As a direct result of this core belief, I am motivated to get up each day and try my hand at it again.
MY THEN~
I often say that one has no control over their childhood, however one has full dominion over their adulthood. As a product of Caribbean descent, I grew up with firm rules, values, and principles. As a child I was a scholar, very independent, and strong minded. By no means was it easy as a child, but I am actually grateful for my life experiences, because they have honestly shaped who I am today.
MY NOW~
I am a woman, mother, wife, and entrepreneur. I most certainly am not super human, but I have a particular set of skills that make me an arsenal of awesomeness! As I actively pursue living my life unapologetically, I am determined to enjoy my days, by whatever means necessary! Through the years, I have blossomed and my confidence has grown so much, admittedly stepping out of my comfort zone has been the main catalyst for this growth. As a woman in my 40’s my life is surreal at times, insane at others, and very gratifying mostly. Can you relate?
I MUST ADMIT I LOVE ME, AND THE ADULT THAT I HAVE BECOME!!
Well my challenge for every person that reads this blog post today is to ask yourself a series of edifying questions…..
Who are you?
What are you grateful for?
What motivates you?
What limits you?
What are you doing with your dash?
What will you do today, that your future self will thank you for?
**Share your responses in the comments below…..I want to know what moves you!**
